A registered “.ma” domain name can have one of the following statuses at any given time:

  • Active: The domain name is registered in the Registry and is declared in the DNS servers of the “.ma” zone and in the “WHOIS”. The registrar can make any changes necessary.
  • Frozen: The domain name is registered in the Registry and declared in the DNS servers of the “.ma” zone and in the “WHOIS”. However, the registrar cannot make any changes.
  • Blocked: The domain name is registered in the Registry and declared in the “WHOIS” However, it is deactivated or deleted from the DNS servers of the “.ma” zone, and the registrar cannot make any changes.
  • Expired: the domain name came to the end of its registration period.
  • Canceled: the domain name canceled by its registrant or registrar.
  • Deleted: the domain name is deleted from the DNS servers of the “.ma” zone and the “WHOIS”. It becomes free and available for a new registration.
